DA MABUSA

Multi-Platinum selling artist Johan Sifiso Sithebe, known professionally as Da Mabusa, is a South African singer, record label owner and music composer.

Born in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, Da Mabusa's musical journey began in 2007 as a member of a local choir. He went on to establish his own choir in 2019, honing his skills as a musician and entrepreneur.

Da Mabusa's breakthrough came in 2022 with the release of his debut single "Umama Owangizalayo", which achieved Multi-Platinum sales and set his music career on the right path as an independent artist. He subsequently released an EP titled "Izipho" in November 2022, followed by the single "Syeke". He then launched his own record label, further solidifying his presence in the music industry.

As an independent artist, Da Mabusa has released several successful tracks, including "Umama Owangizalayo 2.0 Piano Remix" and "Ithuba", which both achieved Platinum sales under his label in just six months. His first release under his record label was "Hamba Juba" in August 2023, followed by "Ngcel'buye", "Akulaleki", and "Umama Owangizalayo 2.0" alongside Ama Grootman.

In 2024, Da Mabusa released two critically acclaimed albums, "Corrections" and "First Lesson", both of which have surpassed 5 million streams.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Shebeshxt, Paige & Sdala B, Lungelo Hlongwane and Eemoh, among others. He has also featured international artists like Rayvanny and Nutty O, showcasing his versatility and reach. He has shared stages with prominent artists including Makhadzi, Master KG and Young Stunna.

In 2025, Da Mabusa released his single "Amaphupho" featuring Ama Grootman and SoulQue, which generated significant buzz on social media ahead of its release on 25 July 2025. In May 2025, he also released "Indlela" featuring his signed artist SoulQue alongside Sabza Womqulo, with vocals by Ama Grootman — a release expected to achieve major milestones on digital platforms.

Da Mabusa's career continues to flourish, with nominations at the Afrima Ghana Music Awards 2023 and the SATMA Awards in December 2023. He remains a sought-after performer, captivating audiences with his soulful vocals and exceptional talent.
